AG Steve Carter has gone 38 for 53

If Steve Carter were a ballplayer, he'd be in the hall of fame

38 of 53 East Chicago officials charged with vote fraud in '03 have been convicted. 10 more are "in the system" and may still be convicted.

Of course, none of the people convicted are named Pastrick. But it's a start.

Those of you downstate, take some time to learn the details of this case. This is exactly why we need the ID to vote law. It puts a stop to this kind of nonsense.

you're wrong about voter ID.

read the story again. these people voted absentee. the voter ID law does not apply to absentee voting.

In fact, the Republicans were very careful to leave absentee ballots out of the Voter ID law, despite the fact that the Democrats tried to write it in.

Considering that most voter fraud is through absentee ballots, I wonder why the Republicans didn't see that as necessary. - Oh, yeah, because it wasn't about fraud. It was about keeping poor people who don't have a driver's license from voting.

You got any links for that claim, Anon? That sounds like bullshit to me.

Anybody can get a state ID. They're free. The requirement that one have a state ID to vote is no more a burden that requiring that everyone register to vote.

And if 26 dumbasses in Marion County show up to vote without ID, well, they need to learn somehow. I guarantee you that all 26 have state IDs now. That's not quite the same as being "disenfranchised".
