Why Romney lost

In 2008, John McCain drew 67,742 votes in Lake County.

In 2010, Mitt Romney drew 68,397 votes in Lake County.

2008 was a frightening year for Republicans in Lake County.  I have never seen a bigger bunch of apathetic people resigned to their fate.

After all that has happened over the last 4 years, the best we could do is improve roughly 500 votes over total apathy?

The county election board web site is not updates with precinct totals yet, but I hear that Obama won in Crown Point.  That is a travesty.

Romney lost because
1) He become rich outsourcing American jobs.
2) He wanted to let GM go bankrupt.
3) He hid his tax returns.
4) He had no economic plan.
5) He was clueless about foreign policy.
6) The GOP has alienated women and minorities over abortion and immigration.
7) Romney was denying Global Warming existed right up until Sandy devastated the East coast
8)Until the GOP gives up on the social issues and starts making proposals that help the middle class instead of the 1%, they'll keep losing.
