Lake County Democrat Protection Act passes the Senate

RINO State Sentator Charbonneau's Lake County Income tax plan passed the Senate.

Just when we have Lake County Democrats in a corner, Charbonneau gives them the means to get out of it. They've had to keep cutting, which decimates their patronage, and even borrow from Porter County, which is deeply embarrassing.

With an income tax, it is going to be back to the usual.  What's worse, 1/4 of the tax goes to "economic development", which means more waste on Taj Mahal projects like Little Commiskey Park in Whiting.

You would think that a Republican would understand that the lack of a county income tax is the best economic development driver Lake County could have.

Of course, perhaps because Charbonneau is from Valpo, he sees that Lake County had an unfair advantage by not having the tax.

Charbonneau is from Valpo, so McDermott cut a deal giving business to a couple of heavy hitting valpo companies?

Jr sought bids removing a 100 year old rail road slab, which initially came in at $120,000 (approx). A consultant from Valpo didn't like their work so, Jr awarded the contract to a Valpo Company for $300,000.

Jr just gave United Neighborhood Inc $400,000 to build two $200,000 homes in Hammond. They went to a Valpo company!

Their is your tie in to how the deal got done.

Hey Speed, reading your post, and BuzCut's, I got to thinking, why do you think Jr gave nearly $700,000 of business to Valparaiso companies.

Jr awarded the contract to remove the 100 year old slab to a Valparaiso Company and gave $400,000 another Valparaiso company to build two $200,000 homes in Hammond.

Come on now Tom did you cut a deal with Charbonneau to change the income tax conditions by sending $700,000 of business to a couple of Valparaiso companies?

I wonder of those companies, or principals contributed to Mr. Charbonneau campaign?
