There's a bill advancing in the Indiana House that forces teacher union members to mail in the political portion of their dues, rather than having them automatically deducted from their payroll.
This is allegedly payback for teacher unions pushing Glenda Ritz over the top as State Superintendent of Schools.
I like where this is going, but they need to go much further. ALL union dues for ALL unions, not just the political portion and not just teacher unions, should need to be mailed in. No more payroll deductions. That would cripple the unions.
It is time for Republicans to act like Democrats and really focus on hobbling our political enemies.
