Major RINO Rep. Ed Soliday is coming for your wallet. He's sponsoring a bill to allow speed cameras in Indiana.
He says that it isn't about revenue, but of course that is preposterous. There's not a shred of evidence that speed cameras improve "safety". The fact that they're allowed starting at 6AM proves it, school doesn't start until hours after that!
One of the things pushing people out of Illinois over to Indiana is oppressive use of speed and red light cameras. With this bill, Indiana is losing a competitive advantage.
Soliday is the Bob Dole of Indiana (Newt Gingrich famously called Dole the tax collector for the welfare state, that description fits Soliday to a T).

I see our favorite guy Tax Payer (Maker) on the Times comment page likes this idea. For someone who calls himself a Republican, he's never seen a tax plan he hasn't rationalized and supported.
Most of the time, with rare exception, I wish Republicans like Soliday (was against Right to Work) and Stevenson would just admit they're pro-life dems and switch parties.
